Coaching & Mentoring

Throughout my 46 years in Education and Volunteer work with YMCA Australia and Whittlesea and VACRO I have come to the realization that everyone needs a Coach or Mentor at some time in their Professional or Personal life. The key is to get the right one!  You want an experienced, honest and trustworthy Coach or Mentor who adheres to confidentiality. Whatever your goals and issues there is always an opportunity for something different to happen, for something to be better. DPCoachingSolutions is all about guiding you to look for solutions, alongside addressing your issues.

Coaching/Mentoring is a professional relationship in which an experienced person shares knowledge, skills and perspective to develop the professional and personal growth of another.

Professionally, I have used a Coach and Mentor with my career path in Education and business planning with my Consultancy.  They provided reliable guidance and practical advice with the necessary tools, tricks and strategies to survive, grow and at the same time make a difference.  Personally, I have used a Mentor when I had Breast Cancer and later a Stroke. With these  life experiences and great Coaches and Mentors as role models I am fortunate to be in a position to help others.

Whatever reason you think that you might need a Coach or Mentor here are some ways that I am able to assist. 1:1 Coaching and Mentoring, Groups, Teams, Whole Staff, Professional Development, Workshops, Panels, Meetings, Presentations and Conferences.

Program content and pricing negotiable depending on your Coaching/Mentoring Agreement outlining your needs.  Let’s talk.

Department recognises long-serving staff

Teacher Deborah Patterson is among more than 340 school and corporate staff recognised for reaching service milestones with the department in 2021. Of the 342 recipients, 174 were recognised for 40 years of service; 119 for 45 years; 40 for 50 years; and nine for 55 years. Deborah, from Mill Park Heights Primary School, said she had been on a high since being told she would be recognised for 45 years with the department.

‘It’s very nice to be recognised and acknowledged for all the work that you’ve done in education,’ she said. Deborah said the secret to her longevity was simple. ‘You’ve got to have knowledge, you’ve got to have the skills, and above all, you’ve got to have the passion,’ she said. ‘Treat every child as if they’re your own.’

Testimonials

  • “I wish to thank Deborah Patterson, long time VPA member and our Master of Ceremonies for her work, over not just the two days of the conference, but also in the months leading up to it. Deborah was been keenly involved from the early stages of our organisation, meeting with our presenters to ensure she had a feel for the learning we undertook during the 25 and 26 of August. The feedback to date has certainly applauded her work in keeping our conference on track and crating plenty of laughs along the way.”

Not only did she put in the effort to get to know me as a leader, where possible, she also connected with my school, my students and my staff, which allowed her to support me in a very contextualised and supportive manner.
